Nevada Public Library Tour

The Nevada Public Library opened in 1876. To create the current 17,000 square foot building, the existing 11,000 square foot one was demolished. The Nevada Public Library has amenities like:

  • a community room with a kitchenette that can host up to 100 people
  • a designated storytime and program area with a kitchenette
  • a designated teen space with booth seating and cafe-style table
  • an all-ages community computer area
  • three study rooms that can host up to 4 people
  • one study room that can host up to 6 people
  • a Donor Recognition Wall Bookcase
  • a Friends-sponsored Coffee Corner
  • book club sets of popular and classic titles
  • laptops available for in-library checkout and use
  • low shelves for easier patron access and improved librarian sightlines
  • large, clear signage directing patrons to sections
  • front-facing shelves for increased circulation
