The Nevada Public Library opened in 1876. To create the current 17,000 square foot building, the existing 11,000 square foot one was demolished. The Nevada Public Library has amenities like:

- low shelves for easier patron access and improved librarian sightlines
- large, clear signage directing patrons to sections
