For Children

Programs and services especially for children.

                                               Creative Learning Center

With the idea of creative learning in mind, children can experience new and
unique concepts, encourage imagination, and develop reading and social skills in the Creative Learning Center.  Items are rotated throughout the year, so children can experience new items on a regular basis.

Summer Reading Program

Throughout the months of June and July, children who are 4 years old through 6th grade may participate in the Summer Reading Program.

This FREE program encourages children to improve their reading skills throughout the summer months.   Research has shown that children who read six or more books during the summer maintain or improve their reading skills, while children who do not lose ground by September.

The Summer Library Program encourages reading for pleasure, the development of positive attitudes about libraries, and provides constructive activities during the long break from school.

Watch the website for more details on the 2010 program!
